Courtney's soccer team finished the season undefeated but was disappointed to lose in the last game of the playoffs. Of course it couldn't be without a little drama. Darn girls! A tied game, double OT and then a shoot out. Bill laughs at me because I have called it everything from a shoot out to a kick off. I really don't know what it is called but as the goalie's mom it is NEVER fun!!!! It is a cruddy way to win or lose a game!

Will leaves school

This week Will decided it was time for him to express his independence. I was surprised on Tuesday to hear him knocking on the door at 3:05 instead of the usual 3:20 - 3:25. When asked about it, he said, "I just left early." Probing further I said, "Why did you do that?" His devilish reply was, "Because nobody stopped me." YIKES!!! We're in trouble with this one!

Mardi Gras Madness

Wendy decided to bring a little Mardi Gras to Texas as she taught herself how to make a traditional Mardi Gras King Cake this year! Many of her friends were able to try it as she fine tuned her creation for next year's menu! Her friend Madonna said it was so delicious that it should be marketed year-round for a breakfast cake or brunch cake!

Valentine's was a hit for many who enjoyed our newest creation, the Chocolate Cherry Truffle Cake. Yummy! This cake takes chocolate covered cherries to a whole new level! It made its way onto our menu as a traditional bundt cake but can me made for an extra special loved one in the heart shaped pan as pictured. Now, if I could just get Bill's friends over at Goodies from Goodman to pick up some of my cakes, I'd really be in business!
